OTSUKIMI is a Japanese festival honoring the autumn full moon. This year it falls on the 21 September. Otsukimi traditions include displaying decorations made from Japanese pampas grass (susuki) and eating rice cakes called Tsukimi-dango in order to celebrate the beauty of the moon.
